Positioned within our Water Resources, in close partnership with Ports &amp; Marine, this role is tailored exclusively to coastal processes and maritime infrastructure.
Supported by an established Water business, strong project pipeline and national client relationships, you'll lead the development of AECOM's Coastal &amp; Maritime capability across Australia. What We're Looking For
We're interested in hearing from experienced coastal and maritime professionals who combine strong technical foundations with proven leadership and commercial capability.
You will likely bring:

<li>Proven experience (ideally 15 years' +) within coastal and maritime engineering, coastal processes, or a related consulting environment.</li>
<li>Demonstrated success building client relationships nationally to enable and drive growth. </li>
<li>Passion for mentoring and growing high-performing multidisciplinary teams.</li>
<li>A background in coastal, wave or hydrodynamic modelling, providing the technical credibility to lead specialist teams and advise clients, whilst operating as the strategic and client-facing lead..</li>

Maritime at KBR is growing and we currently have an opportunity for a Principal Maritime & Coastal Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join one of the most talented and respected engineering teams in Australia. Working within our National Maritime Team, you will be involved with the design and planning activities for large scale multi-discipline maritime facilities for a variety of industries including; defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability (hydrogen terminals). You will apply your existing experience across these different industries and lead the technical delivery of new and interesting projects. You will be supported by and get to work with a range of other disciplines across KBR and other partners.

While you may know some of our more high-profile projects, such as the AUKUS nuclear powered submarine facility upgrades (HMAS Stirling, Perth), we do much more than just defence. Our team works on large-scale clean energy (Port Bonython Hydrogen Hub, Adelaide), boating infrastructure (Clump Point Boat Ramp, North Queensland), wharf and port infrastructure (Port of Brisbane, Wharf 11 & 12), and remediation of valuable public assets (Central Pier, Melbourne).

This role will see you leveraging your existing maritime & coastal engineering experience to deliver everything from concept designs through to construction phase support. While this is primarily a technical role, your experience in project management, design management and business development will also be useful.

What Will You Do?

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing Water & Maritime team. You will play a key role in the delivery of civil, coastal and maritime projects across Australia and the Pacific. This is a technical and project-leading role with hands-on responsibility, client interaction and mentoring of junior staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

Oversee and deliver studies, engineering designs, modelling, analyses, calculations, drawings and engineering reports across civil, coastal and maritime projects for geotechnical discipline.Identify issues, risks and opportunities, providing innovative and practical geotechnical solutions.Plan and undertake geotechnical site investigations including borehole logging, test pits, ground characterisation and assessment of reactive/collapsing soils. Prepare factual and interpretation reports.Lead geotechnical and foundation design for port and harbour infrastructure, including: quay walls, wharves, jetties, dolphins, marine piling, abutments, pavements, retaining walls, seawalls, revetments and navigation aids.Conduct site inspections, laboratory testing coordination and preparation of inspection reports.Supervise, mentor and guide junior engineers and others.Support business development: meeting clients, preparing capability statements, contributing to marketing materials and proposals.Develop and maintain strong client relationships across Australia, with regular face-to-face engagement.

Austin Engineering has permanent fulltime employment opportunities available within the Kewdale, WA, based workshop for experienced Boilermakers to work on the fabrication and engineering of buckets, trays and other heavy mining equipment for Tier 1 resources clients across the state.
The roles support our team for long-term investment across our WA Operation in terms of engineering innovation and advanced manufacturing including robotics.
The role working arrangements are:

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity which will develop your skills to become an extremely versatile fabrication tradesperson. Working in a state-of-the-art workshop or on the ship with a great team, your responsibilities will include:

Crisp Bros. &amp; Haywards is a leading Tasmanian owned and operated steel fabrication and construction company. Our business is owned and operated by a passionate team committed to delivering quality engineering, fabrication, construction and marine projects throughout Australia.
We operate from a number of fabrication and engineering workshops, including a shipyard facility in Margate, where we design, build and maintain a large range of commercial vessels, as well as providing general engineering and fabrication services.
About the role
As the shipyard Naval Architect and member of a small inhouse design team, supporting both new build and maintenance and refit works, the role is quite varied.
Reporting to the Design Manager, you will provide engineering and technical solutions to develop compliant commercial vessel designs from concept stage through to delivery, working closely with clients, project managers, survey authorities and production teams. You will assist the Marine Maintenance team with engineered solutions to ensure safe docking and slipping of vessels. You will work with clients to problem solve challenging issues concerning vessel modifications and on water infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provide Naval Architecture design and support services in delivery of projects, in accordance with project specifications</li>
<li>Produce detail design drawings for production</li>
<li>Perform general structural calculations, including FEA</li>
<li>Contribute to the development of technical reports and documentation</li>
<li>Ensure design detail compliance with statutory regulations</li>
<li>Develop vessel slipping and support plans</li>
<li>Support implementation of engineering policies and procedures to improve project efficiency &amp; safety</li>
<li>Participate in meetings with stakeholders and provide engineering insights as required</li>
<li>Assist with preparing bid/tenders for new work</li>
<li>Contribute to developing shipyard policies and procedures relating to quality and safety</li>
</ul>
Required Experience &amp; Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor of Engineering – Naval Architecture</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years experience in a Naval Architecture role is preferred</li>
<li>Experience with  engineering and design software  such as Maxsurf, Strand 7, Rhino 3d, AutoCAD</li>
<li>Practical, adaptable, solution-focused mindset in a production environment</li>
</ul>
