Senior Construction Project Advisor

Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking a Senior Constructability / Project Review Consultant to support the assessment and review of construction projects through planning, design and delivery phases.

This role focuses on improving project outcomes through practical construction expertise, identifying risks early, enhancing coordination and helping prevent defects before they occur. Working closely with a senior reviewer, you will undertake project reviews, site inspections and assessments across a diverse portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting constructability, buildability and coordination reviews
• Reviewing design documentation, drawings and specifications
• Preparing Constructability Review Reports (CRRs)
• Undertaking site inspections and verification activities
• Supporting pre-Practical Completion (Pre-PC) and Practical Completion (PC) walkthroughs
• Assessing defects and supporting Defects Liability Period (DLP) review activities
• Identifying project risks and recommending mitigation strategies
• Reviewing construction sequencing, methodology and delivery approaches
• Assessing design interfaces and coordination issues
• Supporting project quality and continuous improvement initiatives

About you:
You will be an experienced construction professional with extensive practical project delivery experience and a strong ability to identify construction, coordination and buildability issues from both documentation and site observations.

To be successful, you will ideally possess:

• 20+ years of practical construction industry experience
• Strong hands-on construction and project delivery knowledge
• Experience across commercial, education, infrastructure, civil or government projects
• Ability to interpret complex construction drawings and technical documentation
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and risk management
• Experience undertaking site inspections, defect assessments and quality reviews
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A methodical, detail-oriented and solutions-focused approach

Highly regarded experience includes:

• Civil or Structural Engineering backgrounds
• Licensed Builder (Open)
• Senior Site Management experience
• Project Engineering or Construction Management experience
• AutoCAD capability
• BIM exposure and coordination knowledge
• Site QA, defect management and quality assurance experience
