About the Role

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, delivery, commercial management, and reporting of projects from commencement through to completion.

You will be responsible for assisting with project coordination, subcontractor management, cost control, QA/QSE documentation, procurement, programming, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the delivery of projects in line with budgets, programs, contracts, and company objectives
Prepare short-range programs and 3-week look-ahead schedules
Monitor project costs and assist with weekly cost reporting
Prepare variations, claims, project reporting, and supporting documentation
Coordinate procurement activities and subcontractor engagement processes
Review subcontractor and supplier invoices
Assist with tender preparation, tender interviews, and site inspections
Prepare QA inspections, ITPs, SWMS, permits, and project management plans
Maintain site diaries, including project photos and production tracking
Work collaboratively with operations teams, supervisors, suppliers, and clients
Support compliance with Delta Group’s QSE systems and project delivery processes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Bachelor of Civil Engineering qualification
2-4 years’ experience in civil, construction, demolition, remediation, or related industries
Strong understanding of project delivery and contract administration
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
A practical, hands-on approach to project delivery
High attention to detail and strong reporting capability
Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
