About the roleAt IKAD Engineering, we’re offering an opportunity for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our Henderson-based team supporting projects across Defence, Marine and Industrial sectors.
These are full-time, locally based roles, suited to those looking for consistent work, stability and work-life balance.
What you'll be doingYou’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical fitting and maintenance services across workshop and site-based projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Overhauling and repairing mechanical equipment in the workshop and on site
Monitoring work progress against project schedules and deadlines
Measuring, calibrating and recording mechanical components and equipment
Conducting inspections to identify defects, faults and required repairs
Completing project documentation including work instructions, T&I plans and quality records
Ensuring all work is completed in line with HSEQ requirements
Working to tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Supporting shutdowns, maintenance and project delivery across multiple sectors
We’re looking for reliable, trade-qualified Mechanical Fitters who take pride in their work and can operate both independently and as part of a team.
Essential:
Australian recognised Trade Qualification – Mechanical Fitter
White Card
5+ years post-trade experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Experience in workshop and/or site-based mechanical works
Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening
Ability to obtain Defence site access and provide a clean police clearance
WA C-Class Driver’s Licence
Willingness to work overtime when required
Desirable:
Defence and/or Marine industry experience
High Risk Work Licence (Forklift, Dogging/Rigging)
Confined Space Entry
Working at Heights / EWP
