Maintenance Planning & Engineering Project Support Officer

Hive & Wellness Australia—home to Capilano, Barnes Naturals, and some of Australia's most loved honey brands—is looking for a highly organised, detail-driven Maintenance Planning and Engineering Project Support Officer to join our team at Richlands. This is a permanent, full-time position combining maintenance planning, stock coordination, and vital administrative support for our engineering projects.

Operating as the operational backbone of our technical division, you will support the Head of Engineering and the Supervisor Maintenance and Improvements . You will ensure that site assets remain completely reliable, inventory is tightly managed, and engineering projects move forward seamlessly.

What You’ll Do

You will play a critical role across three key operational areas:

• Maintenance Planning & MEX Administration:

  • Manage the lifecycle of work orders (create, schedule, and assign) within the MEX CMMS platform for preventative and corrective maintenance.

  • Populating maintenance history by logging accurate labour hours, parts used, and asset data.

  • Map out weekly and monthly maintenance calendars to keep production downtime to a absolute minimum.

  • Generate performance KPI reports to keep leadership informed on asset reliability metrics.

• Inventory & Stock Management:

  • Monitor stock levels continuously, proactively initiating purchase orders via MEX to keep spares and consumables available.

  • Own the physical organization, cleanliness, and accuracy of maintenance stores through routine stocktakes.

  • Act as the core purchasing link for the engineering team, ensuring complete traceability for parts invoices, requisitions, and receipts.

  • Provide detailed usage and valuation data to help supervisors manage the department budget.

• Engineering & Project Support:

  • Assist the Head of Engineering with project timelining, scheduling milestones, and resource tracking for capital upgrades.

  • Coordinate quotes and track down technical product data for everything from individual factory assets to turnkey processing lines.

  • Manage external contractors by sourcing quotes, coordinating site inductions, and enforcing site safety protocols.

What You’ll Bring

• Technical Experience: Proven background working inside a maintenance or engineering environment with a solid grasp of industrial parts and stock handling.

• CMMS Proficiency: Practical, demonstrated experience operating MEX CMMS (or a closely related system like SAP PM or Maximo).

• Administrative Strengths: High proficiency in MS Office, specifically using Excel and MS Project for timelining, tracking metrics, and data analysis.

• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to confidently liaise between factory trades, department managers, and external vendors.

• Mindset: A natural process-improver with a desire to trial modern workplace tools (including AI and automation software) to upgrade efficiency. You possess a calm, solutions-focused approach when priorities shift.
