The Opportunity

Join our high performing Work Winning team within Infrastructure Services. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and delivery of technical solutions that support strategic growth initiatives. You will play a key role in securing new business opportunities by developing compelling, customer focused proposals that differentiate Ventia throughout the critical journey from prospect to contract award.

Working closely with operational and commercial stakeholders, you will help shape value propositions that resonate with clients, position Ventia ahead of competitors, and enable a seamless transition from pre-contracts into operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and develop opportunities that support informed decision-making and strengthen Ventia’s market position.
  • Contribute to strategic positioning, negotiations, and successful proposal development within targeted industry sectors.
  • Deliver customer-focused, innovative solutions aligned with client needs, operational requirements, and market trends.
  • Engage with client stakeholders to understand technical opportunities and develop tailored win strategies.
  • Support seamless transition from pre-contracts to operations for successful bid delivery.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or an electrical trade qualification are highly regarded.
  • Extensive experience in business development, project delivery, or operational leadership within the infrastructure or utilities sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, developing, and securing strategic projects and opportunities.
  • Strong strategic thinking capability combined with commercial and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven experience in client-facing roles.
  • Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into practical, deliverable solutions.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to coordinate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure services, operational delivery, and project execution.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera is preferred.
