About the Project

Gold Coast Infrastructure Solutions (GCIS) is a Joint Venture between Ventia and Downer that has been awarded a 10-year contract to deliver water and wastewater repairs, maintenance services, and renewals project works for the City of Gold Coast. Having recently celebrated our third anniversary, the partnership now has seven years remaining on the contract.

About the Role 

We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join the team in a full-time, permanent capacity based at our main depot in Bundall, Gold Coast.

With a primary focus on infrastructure upgrade projects, you will oversee a team of engineers and supervisors, driving project outcomes through effective management, estimating, and leadership.
 
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manage and deliver multiple renewals and capital works projects, including budgets, reporting, and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate the selection and onboarding of delivery partners with the Renewals Lead and support teams.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep targets on track.
  • Support tender processes, including procurement, estimating, and submissions.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and track progress.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control.
  • Identify site risks and ensure appropriate safety controls are in place.
  • Collaborate with Design Partners to achieve cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
  • Ensure community, environmental, and operational considerations are factored into project planning and design.
  • Mentor and support Project Engineers to build capability. 

About You  

  • Cert IV or higher Project Management qualifications
  • Leadership Qualifications (Cert IV Leadership & Management) highly regarded
  • Experience in the water sector and/or civil construction within a similar industry is desirable
  • Evidence of immunity or willingness to obtain vaccination to gain immunity to Hepatitis A & B
