Project Coordinator (Infrastructure)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Project Coordinator to join our dynamic Infrastructure team.

Reporting to the Project Manager, and working collaboratively with the project team, you will engage with a variety of stakeholders, including the construction team, Department of Finance delivery team, finance, procurement, and facilities management professionals.  Your ability to collaborate and leverage the knowledge of these stakeholders will be key in achieving successful project outcomes.

As part of this role, you will:

• Establish and manage project coordination functions, contributing to the successful delivery of the construction phase.
• Ensure that project management processes, project control frameworks, and governance frameworks are followed. You will provide high-level administrative and technical support to the Project Manager.
• Identify and track the project/program critical path, diligently addressing key risks, issues, and interdependencies, and escalating them as needed.
• Monitor and consolidate project deliverables, schedules, and resources, liaising with stakeholders to ensure well-coordinated efforts to achieve desired outcomes.
• Assist with reporting for senior management and stakeholders, including milestone summaries, key issues, risks, and cost summaries.
• Maintain crucial project documentation, managing document and version control. This includes schedules, plans, registers, change requests, and project status reports..
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, which may include mentoring and coaching junior team members.

Our preferred candidate will have demonstrated experience in project coordination, facility management and mental health projects.  Previous health sector / infrastructure experience is desirable.

About our Teams

CAHS Infrastructure team lead and deliver health infrastructure projects to better enable clinical services. Across our health service, we seek to ensure facilities meet the needs of our young patients and their families, now, and in the future. These projects range from minor works through to large capital works managed in partnership with the Department of Housing and Works.

Projects are identified and forecast as part of our Infrastructure Program and in alignment with the CAHS Strategic Asset Plan to ensure facilities are well managed, and current and future infrastructure needs are met.

CAHS currently have a number of projects with timelines until 2030.
