Mincore is seeking an experienced Senior Study Manager to lead the development of Rare Earth and Critical Minerals projects from Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) through Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) and Final Investment Decision (FID).

This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, specialist consultants and key stakeholders to deliver technically robust, commercially viable and execution-ready projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are fully prepared for successful transition into EPCM delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project development from PFS through DFS and FID.

  • Manage study scope, budget, schedule, risks and deliverables.

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, consultants and technology providers.

  • Manage metallurgical testwork, process development and technical studies.

  • Oversee development of process design criteria, mass balances, water balances and equipment selection.

  • Coordinate CAPEX, OPEX, project schedules and execution planning activities.

  • Drive project optimisation, risk management and value improvement initiatives.

  • Support permitting, approvals and stakeholder engagement activities.

  • Coordinate technical due diligence and independent reviews.

  • Develop project execution strategies and implementation plans.

  • Ensure projects are technically and commercially ready for transition into EPCM delivery.

About You
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Metallurgy, Minerals Processing, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.

  • Minimum 15 years' experience in mining, mineral processing or project development.

  • Proven experience delivering PFS and DFS studies.

  • Experience progressing projects through FID.

  • Strong leadership, commercial and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and external consultants.

Essential Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Rare Earth and Critical Minerals project development.

  • Strong understanding of project development, study management, CAPEX, OPEX and execution planning.

  • Experience working within Owners Teams, consulting engineering or EPCM environments.
