About the role

A well-established commercial construction contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee projects across Canberra and surrounding areas.

This role focuses heavily on education sector projects, managing delivery from planning through to completion while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

You'll work closely with Site Managers, subcontractors, consultants and clients, playing a key leadership role across project delivery and commercial outcomes.

We are seeking candidates with proven education construction experience, and preference will be given to applicants with Australian education sector construction experience and strong understanding of local construction standards, compliance and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage end-to-end delivery of commercial and education projects
* Oversee Site Managers, subcontractors and suppliers
* Monitor programme, budgets and project performance
* Coordinate procurement and contract administration activities
* Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
* Ensure WHS, compliance and quality standards are met
* Provide leadership and direction to project teams

Skills & Experience
Essential

* Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
* Strong experience delivering education sector projects
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Experience managing budgets, programmes and subcontractors
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines
* Strong understanding of commercial construction methodologies

Highly Regarded

* Australian education construction experience
* Trade or tertiary construction qualification
* Existing relationships within the ACT construction market

Salary & Benefits

* $140,000 - $180,000 + super (depending on experience)
