Summit Fleet established in Australia in 1997 is a leading provider of Fleet Management and Leasing solutions including some of the most advanced web based support for customers in the market.  We also bring to the industry an experienced management team and security.

Summit Fleet is seeking an experienced and proactive Vehicle Purchasing Controller to join our team located in Rydalmere. You will be reporting to the Vehicle Purchasing Manager and have a flexible approach, good time management and organisational skills with a high attention to detail.  You will also have excellent interpersonal skills in order to liaise well with all levels of staff, suppliers and clients. This is a permanent full-time role.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Duties as follows but not limited to:

  • Enter driver and vehicle data accurately into Miles software - training will be provided.

  • Liaise with Dealerships to obtain vehicle quotes within set time frames.

  • Liaise with the Sales team.

  • Ensure accuracy of vehicle orders and quotes.

  • Process all emails - which entails liaising between internal staff and suppliers.

  • Review outstanding quotes and orders daily.

  • Process vehicle deliveries and invoicing daily.

  • Build strong relationships with the dealer network.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a friendly team with a supportive Manager, who will provide training within the role if required.

Skills and experience

You will be a friendly, analytical person with problem solving skills. You will be capable of handling multiple tasks with the initiative to ensure consistent follow up when necessary. Following skills and experience are required:

  • Customer service experience

  • Data entry and computer skills - accuracy required

  • Competent in using the Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience within the Fleet Management or Automotive Industries

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Good time management and organisational skills

  • Ability to work in a team
