Modern Transport Engineers Australia is a world-class heavy transport manufacturer. Our Tingalpa Workshop and Manufacturing facility is the Australian division of a successful family-owned operation founded in 1973.
We provide solutions to the Australian transport industry where specialised trailers are required for oversize, civil, and earthmoving hauling needs.
We are currently seeking a Boilermaker with the required experience to join our facility located in Tingalpa, Brisbane. Hours of operations are 6:00 am to 3:00 pm with a 12:30 pm finish on Fridays. We currently are working 40.5 hours a week, 38 base hours, and 2.5 of overtime.
You must also be eligible to work in Australia and have working rights if you are a Visa Holder.
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following:
Trade qualified Boilermaker
Experience in the repair and fabrication of trailers
Experience in flux core welding
Take pride in your work and have a right-first-time attitude
Ability to use simple hand and power tools
Have the ability to read, interpret, fabricate, and weld to supplied workshop drawings
Comply with all OHS and quality standards
Ability to problem solve and work within a team or unsupervised
Desirable but not essential:
Forklift License
Driver's License
Heavy Industrial Fabrications experience
Welding Certificate (Australian Recognized Trade Certificate)
