We’re now seeking a Fleet Manager to lead our Container (FCL) Division – managing the day-to-day operation of our container fleet, drivers, and allocations team.
About the Role
This hands-on leadership role oversees the daily scheduling, performance and compliance of our fleet servicing the Port of Brisbane and interstate customers. You’ll coordinate with our operations, compliance, and workshop teams to ensure efficient turnaround, driver engagement and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee container transport operations (FCL & wharf cartage) ensuring on-time, compliant delivery.
Lead a team of drivers and allocators, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
Monitor fleet utilisation, maintenance schedules and vehicle readiness.
Liaise with customers and port operators to manage performance and resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with CoR, NHVR and internal safety standards.
Report on productivity, fuel, and cost performance across the division.
About You
You’ll be an experienced transport professional who thrives in a fast-paced, port logistics environment. You have strong leadership skills, operational awareness, and an eye for both safety and efficiency.
We’re looking for:
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in fleet or transport management (container wharf experience ideal).
Proven leadership in managing drivers and equipment scheduling.
Excellent understanding of CoR, fatigue and DG compliance (preferred).
Strong communication and customer service capability.
Proficient in TMS systems (e.g. Freight Tracker, Jaix or similar).
