Fleet Manager

It is an exciting time to be joining Brisbane Airport, as we embark on a transformative journey, whereby more than $5 billion is being invested into the development of our infrastructure over the next five years. As result of this development, we expect to see up to 30,000 people working at the airport by the end of the decade.

This role is within our Airport Facilities division, who are responsible for managing and maintaining all infrastructure across the 2700-hectare airport precinct. This role is responsible for the management of BAC’s fleet (light vehicle carpool, airside safety light vehicles, civil maintenance medium and heavy vehicles), mechanical plant, emergency generators, and fuel systems.

About the role

The Fleet & Mechanical Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of BAC’s fleet, mechanical plant, emergency generators, and fuel systems. The role ensures all assets are safe, compliant, reliable, cost-effective, and fully aligned with BAC’s operational, regulatory, and sustainability requirements.

Key deliverables include fleet lifecycle planning, workshop oversight, maintenance governance, supplier management, budget performance, and ensuring the Fleet & Mechanical function supports the operational readiness of Brisbane Airport.

About you

You like to be part of a happy, high performing team and take pride in making a difference through doing great work.

You will need to be experienced in managing a mixed vehicle fleet and with skills in the use of fleet management and maintenance management systems. As you will oversee the work of a contract provider of mechanical services, you should ideally be qualified in this discipline.
