About the role
As one of our valued Service Technicians at Melbourne Marine Centre, a premier Certified Mercury Service Centre, you will become a key member of our elite service team playing a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality marine services to our valued customers.
Are you a skilled technician with a passion for marine engines, boats, and hands-on problem solving? We're looking for an experienced and motivated Marine Technician to join our growing team in Dandenong, Victoria.
As a Marine Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers get back on the water safely and confidently. Your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing marine engines and associated systems
Performing routine maintenance on outboard, inboard, and sterndrive engines
Installing and commissioning marine equipment and accessories
Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
Conducting pre-delivery inspections and testing of vessels
Completing service reports and maintaining accurate job records
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to manufacturer specifications
Providing exceptional customer service and technical advice when required
We're seeking someone who is passionate about marine technology and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Previous experience as a Marine Technician, Marine Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or similar trade
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Current driver's licence
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Formal trade qualification in Marine Mechanics, Automotive, Diesel, or a related field
Experience with leading marine engine brands
Knowledge of marine electrical and electronic systems
Forklift licence or boat handling experience
