Marine Service Technician - White Knight Marine Services

White Knight Marine Services is expanding and we’re looking for an experienced Marine Service Technician to join our team in Hillarys. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic marine engineering business servicing both pleasure and commercial vessels across WA.

As authorised agents for leading OEM engines, generators, propulsion systems and as a trusted dealer for Sword Fighter Marine vessels, we pride ourselves on delivering high‑quality workmanship, reliable service, and genuine expertise.

About the Opportunity

In this full‑time role, you’ll be hands‑on across a wide range of marine mechanical work, including:

  • Engine rebuilds and overhauls

  • General servicing and maintenance

  • Fault diagnostics and troubleshooting

  • Repowering vessels

  • Marine engineering and system assessments

  • Drivetrain and propulsion system repairs

  • Propeller and shaft work

  • Parts management and ordering

  • Maintenance programming and planning

You’ll be working on a variety of vessels and equipment, supporting both scheduled and reactive work in a busy, well‑equipped workshop.

What We Offer

  • Great hourly rates

  • Full‑time, stable employment

  • A supportive and energetic team culture

  • Opportunities for growth and development

  • Work on diverse and interesting marine projects

What We’re Looking For

  • Trade‑qualified Diesel Mechanic or Marine Technician

  • Experience working on marine engines (pleasure or commercial vessels)

  • Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving capability

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Commitment to safe work practices

We also welcome people with hands‑on engine room experience - such as Captains, Class 3 Engineers, or anyone who has been servicing vessels without formal trade qualifications. If you’ve built practical skills in the marine space, including experience similar to MED1 or MED2 engine‑room duties, we’re happy to have a chat.

As part of the recruitment process, you may be required to complete pre‑employment checks including a medical and working rights verification.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates.
